Part 2: The Closet

To gain a deeper understanding of your present wardrobe, we’ll conduct a thorough Closet Audit.

During this process, we’ll go through your closet, piece by piece, to figure out what’s working and what’s not. You’ll try on pieces to get advice on fit and color. As soon as we identify the items that no longer work for you, I will drop them off for donation to make space for the new pieces.

 FAQs

  • I work with men looking to develop a meaningful personal style. This means having a desire to gain a holistic understanding of how to dress well. Ideal clients have an open mind, a willingness to collaborate, and a desire to take action now.

Suppose you’re unable or unwilling to correspond (via email, text, etc.) in a punctual manner and unable to commit to the service’s timeline—this probably isn’t the right solution for you.

  • On average, styling services take one month from beginning to end.

Service timelines can vary depending on how quickly you, the client, can provide the feedback necessary to move each part of the service along. Someone who responds in a timely fashion will have a quicker, more concise experience versus someone who only responds once every few weeks (please see the previous question).

  • Each service I offer is a complete wardrobe revamp.

The number of new pieces you need will depend on many factors. These include the number of salvageable clothes you currently own, your location (cool climates warrant more layers, for example), your unique goals, and your budget.

Generally speaking, most clients leave with anywhere between 20-30 new pieces of clothing, shoes, and accessories.

  • On average, my clients spend between $2,500 - $5,000+ on their new wardrobe.

These numbers are entirely dependent on your specific needs. For example, if you need multiple coats, you’ll need to account for these higher ticket items when putting together a rough budget.

I’m a big believer in quality over quantity. I source pieces from Contemporary ($75-$500) and Advanced Contemporary ($300-$1,200) brands with a proven history of quality craftsmanship and longevity.

Don’t let these price points scare you. Price and quality aren’t always synonymous. I invest your money where it counts; this means I’m not going to pick a $250 basic t-shirt because that’s not a smart use of your money. My wide breadth of brand knowledge enables me to find the best quality pieces in a wide range of price points.
